I began juggling when I was in middle school. When I started out, all I had to juggle with was rocks, but after a while I started buying my own juggling equipments. Now I have all kinds of things such as: glow-in-the-dark rings and balls, torches, cones, cigarette boxes, diablos, devil sticks, knives, and a few other things I don’t know the name of. Pictures here are taken from when Benjamin and I were juggling with fire torches. If you want to learn to juggle, my best advice would be for you to join a juggling club. If you can’t do that, you can look at the page http://www.juggling.org/ and try to teach yourself juggling. If you have good coordination and someone who can show you how to juggle, you should be able to learn juggling within 15 minutes. Boys tend to pickup juggling skills faster then girls, but this is not always the case.
Juggling equipments can be expensive, but there is a trick to getting them free. If there are at least three of you who live in Norway, you can apply for a subsidy from Frifond, and I can almost guarantee that you will get 5000kr to buy equipments for your juggling club. I applied for money for my club, and my friend who lives in other city also applied for money for his juggling club. We both got 5000kr. each, which I think is the maximum amount. One tip when you are applying is to be precise when you write out the budget.
