The picture to the left here is taken while we were flying from Vigra to Oslo in a Boeing 737. It is set up with three projectors. It is an experience to fly like this; something completely different then flying on a computer screen. We used a computer with three graphic cards which worked excellently. Assuming that you don’t have a slow computer, you will also need FS2004 or newer, because these version support 3D on multiple screens, a feature that FS2002 or lower versions do not support. If you are interested in knowing more about how you could set up your own flight simulator like ours, you are welcome to send me an email. But otherwise, there is also plenty of information on the internet on how to do that too.
If you’ve never been up in a control tower, you should really try to get up. Most places (in Norway) will allow you to come up if you ring the bell and ask. At some of the bigger airports you might have to call in advance and make an appointment.
Airplanes have been something that has always impressed me. Ever since I was little I had model airplanes, both sail planes and motored planes. When I was 19 years old, I took the helicopter license at Collegedale, TN. Now I am finally working on getting my cpl-h license and hope to be done by summer 2007. My dream is still to be a rescue pilot at Sunnmøre.
